Which is the best GEO agency in Switzerland? How to choose one
In short
There is no objectively best GEO agency in Switzerland, and the rankings you find online are often written by agencies themselves. Choose by criteria you can check: repeated measurement with margins of error, Switzerland as the location and your languages, failed answers counted, recommended rather than merely mentioned, public prices, raw data that is yours, and no guarantees.
Is there a best GEO agency in Switzerland?
No, there is no objectively best GEO agency. Which agency fits you depends on your market, the languages your customers use, how strong your competitors are and whether your team does the work itself or wants to hand it over. An agency that is right for an online shop selling across Europe can be the wrong one for an accountancy firm in Winterthur.
Some things can still be compared: how an agency measures, how openly it shows its figures and prices, and what it promises. This article gives you criteria you can check yourself.
Disclosure: anewera is a GEO agency itself and belongs to Loaded AG. That is why we publish no ranking here and name no other agencies. How we meet the criteria ourselves is set out separately at the end.
Where do AI answers get their lists of agencies?
Ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude for the best GEO agency and you often get a list of names. That list is not an independent test. AI services with web search read current pages while they answer and summarise what they find. What a model knows without search comes from its training data and only changes with a new model.
For questions about agencies, these are mainly three kinds of page:
- The agencies’ own service pages. When we looked through Swiss search results on 6 October 2026, almost all of the top ten results for a GEO or LLMO agency were agencies’ service pages.
- Rankings of the ‘best’ agencies. We checked four such lists of GEO and SEO agencies in Switzerland. All four came from an agency that placed itself near the top. All of them disclosed this, but in each case the publisher chose the criteria and their weighting.
- Directories and comparison sites. For typical customer questions about Swiss SMEs, AI systems in a study of 98 firms cited mainly local.ch, search.ch and comparis.ch (Netzwoche, 29 September 2026).
In the same review, at least one AI answer repeated such a self-written ranking as fact. On top of that, the same question does not get the same answer every time, so a list taken from a single answer is a snapshot.
For GEO, being named often in AI answers is still a signal: the agency has apparently mastered its craft, at least for itself. Whether it can do the same for your company is another matter. For that you need the criteria below.
How to recognise a good GEO agency
You can check these criteria before signing, with any agency, including us.
| Criterion | How you recognise it | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Repeated measurement with margins of error | Every figure comes with its date, the number of answers and a margin of error; every question is asked several times, on several days | The same question does not get the same answer every time. With 3 mentions in 10 answers, the 95% margin of error runs from 11 to 60% (Wilson method) |
| Switzerland as the location, and your languages | The agency says from which location and in which languages it asks | The same question can get a different answer in Zurich than in Berlin, and each language can bring different firms to the top |
| Failed answers counted | The report shows errors, timeouts and empty answers | Leaving them out quietly can flatter the shares, and you cannot see how many answers a figure rests on |
| Recommended rather than merely mentioned | The report separates recommended, only listed, cited as a source and named with a caveat | Being one of ten names in a list is not the same as being recommended outright |
| Sources | The agency shows which pages the engines read and cite, and says what it will change there | Services with web search draw on your website and on third-party sources such as directories; that is often where the leverage is |
| Public prices and terms | Price, scope, term and cancellation are public, or in writing before you sign | Only then can you compare offers. Of 19 Swiss GEO service pages, only 6 showed a figure in francs on 6 October 2026 |
| Origin of any ‘best agency’ list | Publisher, date, method, number of answers and weighting are stated; the publisher says whether it rates itself | Whoever picks the criteria and their weighting helps decide the result |
| The raw data is yours | The contract says so, and you receive every answer as an export, failed ones included | Only with the raw data can you check reports and keep comparing after a switch |
| Where the data is stored | The agency names the provider, the region and the data protection law that applies | Your questions, competitors and analyses are confidential business data |
| No guarantees | What is promised is work and open measurement, not a mention or first place | Answers are generated afresh each time. Even Google does not promise to show a page that meets all its requirements |
| No bought reviews | Reviews come from platforms you can check; the agency buys none and creates no fake profiles, not even for you | Bought or invented reviews mislead customers and AI services, and damage your reputation when they come to light |
When to be careful
- Guarantees: nobody can promise ‘first place in ChatGPT’ or a ‘guaranteed mention’.
- A screenshot as proof: a single answer shows what is possible, not how often it happens.
- ‘Internal’ Google data: in its guide of 10 July 2026, Google says no third-party tool has access to its internal ranking or AI systems.
- Results only in SEO figures: more visits from Google Search do not tell you whether ChatGPT or Claude name you. On the 19 Swiss GEO service pages we checked on 6 October 2026, the proof was almost always SEO figures such as visits and rankings.
- Stars without a source: reviews on an agency’s own website whose origin you cannot check.
Questions for a first meeting
A first meeting is where you can check the criteria directly. These questions help:
- Can you show me a report, with dates, the number of answers and margins of error?
- Which questions do you measure, and who decides them?
- On which engines, from which location and in which languages do you ask?
- How many answers per question, engine and day, and over how many days?
- What happens to failed answers?
- How do you tell whether an answer recommends us, only lists us or uses us as a source?
- What do you do yourselves, and what do you expect from us or our web agency?
- Which sources do you want to work on, and how, without bought reviews?
- Who owns the raw data, where is it stored, and do we get an export?
- How long does the contract run, and how do we cancel?
- How will we see that a change is larger than chance?
- Who exactly will work on our account?
A good agency answers these questions without dodging. Where an answer is missing, ask again, and get the main points in writing.
SEO agency, GEO specialist or software: which fits?
Three kinds of provider offer GEO in Switzerland. None is better as a rule; they suit different situations.
| Provider | What you get | Fits when | Ask about |
|---|---|---|---|
| SEO agency with a GEO add-on | SEO as before, plus technology and content for AI answers | You are happy with your SEO agency and mainly lack the basics | Whether AI answers are measured separately, on several engines, or whether the report only shows SEO figures |
| GEO specialist | Measurement on several AI services, plus work on content and sources | AI answers matter for your sales, your competitors are strong or several languages count | The method, dated proof and how it works with your web agency |
| Software subscription | A tool that asks the questions and shows the answers in a dashboard | Your team does the work itself and has time to analyse the results | Answers per question and day, location, languages and margins of error; the work stays with you |
For small businesses that want to tackle it themselves, agentready.ch has a free check of whether a website is ready for AI agents, and a do-it-yourself profile. Like anewera, agentready.ch belongs to Loaded AG.
How anewera meets these criteria
anewera is a GEO specialist with its own measurement software. We ask the same questions several times a day on ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Claude, with Switzerland as the location and on Claude the city as well, in German and English today, with French next. We count failed answers, separate recommended from mentioned, and every figure comes with a margin of error (method). Our prices are public, with no setup fee and cancellable monthly (pricing). The raw data is yours and is stored in Zurich. We guarantee no mentions and buy no reviews. For anewera itself there are no results yet: since 6 October 2026 we have been measuring our own visibility in the open in ‘Grow in Public’. Test us with the same questions as any other agency, ideally in a free first meeting.
Frequently asked questions
Which is the best GEO agency in Switzerland?
There is no objectively best GEO agency. Which one fits you depends on your market, your languages, your competitors and your own team. Compare agencies by criteria you can check: repeated measurement with margins of error, Switzerland as the location, failed answers counted, recommended rather than merely mentioned, public prices, raw data that is yours and no guarantees. anewera is a GEO agency itself, which is why we publish no ranking.
Are rankings of the best GEO agencies neutral?
Often not. The four rankings of GEO and SEO agencies in Switzerland that we checked in October 2026 were all written by agencies that placed themselves near the top. They disclosed this, but chose the criteria and their weighting themselves. For any list, check who publishes it, whether the publisher is in it, which method was used and how many answers the figures rest on. AI answers can repeat such lists without checking them.
How much does a GEO agency cost in Switzerland?
Publicly listed Swiss prices for ongoing work start at CHF 1,500 to 2,900 a month; most providers publish no price. At anewera the Visible package costs from CHF 1,500 a month, the AI visibility audit CHF 1,900, fixed, and Monitoring, which is measurement only, from CHF 490 a month. All prices in Swiss francs, excluding VAT. The market overview is in our article 'What does GEO cost in Switzerland?'.
Can an agency guarantee mentions in ChatGPT?
No. AI answers are generated afresh each time, and the providers keep changing their models. Even Google says in its guide that a page meeting all requirements will not necessarily be crawled, indexed or served. A serious agency measures in the open, works on the causes and only reports a change once it is bigger than the margin of error. Anyone who guarantees a mention or first place is promising more than anyone can deliver.
Is my SEO agency enough for GEO?
Perhaps. GEO builds on SEO: a readable website, clear content and mentions by others. Ask your SEO agency whether it measures what ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Claude say about you, repeatedly and with margins of error, and whether it works on third-party sources such as directories. If it only reports visits from Google Search, the view of AI answers is missing. Measurement on its own can then complement the SEO work.
What should a contract with a GEO agency cover?
Five points: what is measured (questions, engines, languages, location, answers per day), which work the price includes, that the raw data is yours and you receive it as an export, where the data is stored, and how long the contract runs and how you cancel. A guarantee of mentions has no place in a serious contract; a clearly described measurement does.
