How do you measure whether ChatGPT recommends a wealth manager?
A single answer proves nothing, because AI answers vary. We ask every question daily on four AI services and show every figure with its margin of error. Every week we also check whether AI describes your firm correctly: licence, supervisory organisation, minimum investment, fees and offices.
What does AI answer to wealth management questions today?
We asked typical questions from investors on four AI services: on wealth management, retirement, fees, sustainable investing, clients from abroad and family offices. The result of our own measurement on 13 October 2026:

FINMA is the yardstick
AI named FINMA in 53% of answers. FINMA pages were cited in 25% of answers, its list and search of authorised institutions alone in 14%.
One page per city gets cited
The most cited website, that of an independent financial adviser, appeared in 27% of answers, with 22 different pages: one page on wealth management per city and guides on fees.
Size alone is not enough
Four large Swiss banks were each named in at most 14% of answers. Only 4% of the websites were named by three or more AI services for the same question, and 73% of the sources were Swiss websites.

What changed
ChatGPT names you in 23 percent of answers on wealth management in Zurich, up from 10 percent the month before. More than the margin of ±7 points, so it is real.
